Seeing the situation seriously, Asif Nazrul, law advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, issued a statement on Sunday saying that the government will soon implement a new law to complete the investigation of crime cases against women. He said that under this law, the police will have to complete the investigation of any rape case within 15 days, while the court will be mandatory to settle the case within three months.

The report of Mahila Parishad revealed

According to a report by Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, a total of 189 cases of violence have been registered against women in the country in February. Of these, 72 cases are related to crimes with minor girls. According to the report, 30 minor girls were raped in these 72 cases. At the same time, there were incidents of gang rape of 8 women and 3 minor girls in a total of 48 rape cases which came out during the whole month.

According to the report of the report, 46 victims lost their lives due to these attacks, including 10 minor girls. The report also reported that women were assaulted, harassment and serious crimes in many incidents. This report has been prepared on the basis of data collected from 15 major national newspapers of Bangladesh.
