IIT Delhi Placement 22 Percent of Students Did Not Find A Job In 5 Years Says Report
The credibility of the Indian Institute of Technology i.e. IIT is not just India, but all over the world. Every year, a large number of students get out from here and get jobs in big companies in the world. But is this series breaking? Information from Right to Information (RTI) is shocking. RTI figures are questioning the placement of IIT Delhi. The Hindu Report According to the data from IIT Delhi, it has been found that between 2019 and 2023, about 22 percent of IITians did not get the job from the college.

IIT Delhi refused to give the 2024 figures saying that the placement was going on. The report said that RTI was organized by Dheeraj Singh, founder of IIT Kanpur and founder of Global IIT Alumini Support Group.

In response, he came to know that the average placement package in IIT Delhi has also been almost stable for the last 4 years. In 2021-2022, IIT Delhi’s average placement package was Rs 23.8 lakh. It decreased in 2022-23 and came to 21.9 lakh annuals.

Statistics show that 1105 students of IITs were placed in 2021-22. That year 366 students could not get a job. Similarly, in 2022-23, 1513 students registered for the placement, out of which 1270 was placed and 243 jobs could not be taken.

The concern does not end here. Media reports states that with the low placement being reduced, the placement package has also decreased. Many companies are offering jobs of 10 to 15 lakh rupees annually by reaching IITs. Navbharat Times Online has written in a report that now IIT graduate is being offered a package of less than 10 lakhs.
