There was panic after a flight of the airlines company Indigo received a human bomb threat. Indigo flight number 6E-68 coming from Jeddah to Hyderabad had to be diverted to Mumbai on Saturday morning. According to the information, Hyderabad-based Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) was given a threat through email about the presence of a human bomb in the plane. Threatened to not let the plane land in Hyderabad
According to police, the Hyderabad Airport Authority received an email around 5.30 am on Saturday morning, in which it was warned that the Jeddah-Hyderabad IndiGo flight should not be allowed to land in Hyderabad. The email also claimed that LTTE-ISI-affiliated operatives on board the plane had hatched a conspiracy similar to the 1984 Madras airport blast. As soon as the message was received, all concerned agencies were alerted and the plane was diverted to Mumbai as a precautionary measure.

Nothing suspicious was found in the investigation
The plane landed safely in Mumbai and a complete security check of passengers and luggage was carried out. Police said that no explosive material or suspicious thing was found during the investigation. A case has been registered on the complaint of airport officials and investigation is underway. According to IndiGo, following the established protocols, the airline immediately informed the concerned authorities and fully cooperated with them in carrying out the necessary security checks before clearing the aircraft for onward operations.

Indigo Airlines issued a statement saying that the passengers’ convenience was taken full care of, they were provided with regular updates and refreshments. All passengers are safe and the situation is completely under control.
