How to check your name in voter list online knowledge

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In a democratic society, the vote of every citizen has great power. Voting has started in many states with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. In such a situation, it is important for you to ensure your name in the voter list. With the arrival of the digital age, it is now a pinch to check the name in this voter list. Nevertheless, if you do not know its process, then we are telling the way to do so through the online platform provided by the Election Commission.

Before starting, let us know that the world’s largest election has started in India. Voting was held in 21 states and union territories on Friday (April 19) during the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections. The Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases which will end on June 1 and the votes will be counted on 4 June. In this year’s Lok Sabha elections, around 97 crore voters will decide the fate of the candidates. More than 1.8 crore first voters will exercise their franchise.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: How to check your name in Voter’s List?

Step 1: Go to the portal
First open any browser on your smartphone or PC/laptop and Electoralsearch.eci.gov.in Go to the portal.

Step 2: Choose how to search
Here you will find many ways to search the name, including search by details, search by ePic and search by mobile options.

Step 3: Search by details
In this method, first click on “Search by Details” and fill your name, father or husband’s name, date of birth, age, sex, state, district and assembly constituency. After this add Captcha and click on ‘Search’.

Step 4: Search by EPIC
In this method, first choose the “Search by EPIC” option and choose your favorite language. Now give information about the state along with the EPIC number on your voter card. Finally add Captcha and click on ‘Search’.

Step 5: Search by Mobile
First choose “Search by Mobile” and choose your kingdom and language. Now enter the mobile number which is registered with your voter card. Put Captcha and click on ‘Search’.

FinallyIf your name appears in search results, you can vote. However, remember to carry your voter ID card at the polling station on the election day.
