A horrifying incident of a woman being held hostage and raped in a bus has come to light in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The woman is a resident of Bhind and had boarded the bus to go to Shivpuri. Conductor Vishnu Ojha tricked her into sitting in the bus and when the bus reached the yard, he raped her.

The woman reached the police station in a dejected state. After this, the police swung into action and registered a case and arrested the accused conductor. The police got the woman medically examined and started taking action under relevant sections. At the same time, this incident has raised questions regarding the safety of women passengers in buses.

What is the whole matter?

According to the information, a woman resident of Bhind had reached Gwalior bus stand on Monday. He had to go to Shivpuri. The woman has a two-year old son and was married in Shivpuri. Due to a dispute with her husband, her maintenance case is pending in Bhind Court. But the husband does not come to the court on the date.

In such a situation, she boarded the bus going from Gwalior bus stand to Shivpuri. During this time he met the bus conductor Vishnu Ojha. Vishnu had described himself as a resident of Guna.

During the conversation, the woman told about coming back to Gwalior from Shivpuri in the evening. On the way back, the conductor lured the woman to leave Bhind and took her mobile number. After this, by calling from mobile in the evening, the conductor called Shivpuri bus stand, assuring the lady passenger to drop her back to Gwalior. Since the woman’s work was over in Shivpuri and she had to go back to Gwalior, she reached Shivpuri bus stand and boarded Vishnu’s bus and reached Gwalior bus stand at night.

Committed the crime after reaching the yard

After reaching the bus yard in Gwalior, the accused conductor assured him to leave Bhind and directed him to remain sitting in the bus. Meanwhile, when all the passengers got off the bus, the accused conductor closed the gate of the bus and forcibly raped the female passenger and ran away. After this, the victim reached the police station with the help of FRV and narrated her ordeal.

Police started action

Station in-charge Padav Alok Parihar said that a case has been registered on the complaint of the victim and the accused conductor Vishnu Ojha has been arrested. Police are investigating the incident site and getting the medical report of the woman done. Strict action will be taken against the accused.
