Due to continuous rains in Himachal Pradesh, roads, electricity and drinking water supply in many areas are stalled due to landslides. This has increased the miseries of the people. 317 roads were disrupted in the state till 10:00 am on Friday. Apart from this, 360 power transformers and 259 water supply schemes are also affected. The maximum number of 174 roads are closed in the disaster affected Mandi district. 142 power transformers in Chamba district and 134 water supply schemes in Kangra are affected. On the other hand, on the Kiratpur-Manali Fourlane, there was obstructed from landslide near Samlatu. Vehicles going towards Chandigarh are being sent via the old route i.e. Nauni-Swarghat.

House of eight rooms due to landslides in Sarana village
Om Prakash, a resident of Sarana village of Budu Sarna Panchayat under the assembly constituency Shahpur, fell due to heavy rains. No person has been hurt in the accident. The accident has appeared at around four in the morning on Friday. The old slate posh house of the affected family was also hit by landslides. Also, toilets and bathrooms also fell due to landslides. It is being told that the site of the house had started sinking for the last two days. Due to landslides, the house of eight rooms has now been completely found in the soil. The victim’s family has shifted all the items of the damaged house to other people in the village. The victim’s family has requested help from the district administration, government and MLA.
