After the Pahalgam terror attack, there is an atmosphere of resentment across the country. At the same time, concern about security has increased. In this connection, a high -level meeting was held in the Union Home Ministry on Tuesday. The meeting was chaired by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan. It included BSF, NSG and heads of Assam Rifles as well as senior officials of SSB and CISF. According to sources, the meeting was called to review the security system after the attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary, National Security Guard (NSG) chief Brighu Srinivasan, Assam Rifles Director General Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera and Additional Director General of SSB Anupama Nilekar Chandra.
Action of security forces in Jammu and Kashmir
On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids at 13 places in Doda district to expose terrorist targets and take action against the people involved in terror activities. Along with this, the Srinagar police conducted extensive raids on the houses of over ground workers (OGWS) and banned terrorist organizations at several places in the city. According to the police release issued in the case, Srinagar police searched the houses of 63 persons.

According to media reports, this raid was conducted under the legal process and under the supervision of Jammu and Kashmir Police officials, so that weapons, documents, digital equipment etc. can be deposited and evidence can be gathered to prevent any possible terrorist activity.
Pahalgam terror attack, edge eye
In Pahalgam, on Tuesday 22 April, terrorists brutally killed 26 people by firing bullets at tourists. The terrorists who came in the army uniform asked the tourists before the tourists in Pahalgam’s Bisaran Valley, saw the identity card and then shot him as a Hindu. Most of the dead are tourists, while two foreign and two local citizens are included.

TRF took responsibility for the attack
Before the Shri Amarnath Yatra, which is going to start from July 3, the responsibility of this cowardly attack has been taken by the Gut The Resistance Front (TRF) associated with Pakistani terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. This is the biggest terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir since the attack in Pulwama in February 2019. 47 CRPF personnel were killed in that attack.
