Hathras Road Accident: Roadways Bus And Tanker Collide On Mathura-Bareilly Road, 15 People Injured – Roadways Bus And Tanker Collide On Mathura-Bareilly Road

On the afternoon of 17th December, there was a collision between a roadways bus and a tanker filled with petroleum products on the Mathura border on the Mathura-Bareilly road in Hathras. 15 people were injured in the accident, out of which nine were brought to the district hospital. There was a jam on the highway after the accident. Passengers helped each other to rescue the injured.

The Hathras depot bus was going from Mathura to Badaun on the afternoon of 17 December. There were about 55 passengers in the bus. This massive clash took place at around 1.30 pm near Koyal Cut at Milestone No. 26 in Raya Kotwali area on the highway. Actually, on this cut, the passengers of Iglas and Mursan are taken, which stand on the highway.

To pick up these passengers, the driver cut the bus from the main lane to the lane on his left. Here the driver was at fault that he did not pay attention to the tanker coming from behind, only the conductor had given his hand. Meanwhile, the tanker coming down from the flyover was at its speed. Even while applying brakes, the tanker entered the bus from the driver’s side. The bus got crushed in the middle and was badly damaged.

Jawar Toll was at a short distance from the incident site. Ambulance and other people reached there. Here, the villagers also gathered. The passengers who survived the accident also took the injured out of the bus. Since the tanker was filled with petroleum, everyone was evacuated by bus. On information, apart from Raya, Mursan, Iglas police also reached. SHO Mursan VP Giri said that information about the accident was received, but the accident took place in Raya area.
