Hashim Amla All-Time ODI XI: South African veteran batsman Hashim Amla has announced his all-time ODI playing eleven, in which many greats have got a place. During a conversation on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Amla told which players according to him have been the best in ODI history.
Sachin-Gilchrist opener, Kohli at number 3
Amla has named Sachin Tendulkar, known as the God of Cricket, and Adam Gilchrist as the opening pair of his team. This pair can give a great start to any team.
At number 3, Amla has chosen chase master Virat Kohli without any hesitation. Kohli is considered “the most reliable batsman of modern cricket”. He has changed the definition of chasing a big goal.

Amla’s choice at number 4 has been Brian Lara. Lara is one of the great batsmen of West Indies. He has included his former teammate AB de Villiers at number 5. Great all-rounder Jacques Kallis has been given place at number 6. A player who could change the course of the match with both bat and ball. Amla’s choice at number 7 position has been Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
