Hadi’s brother Omar accused the Yunus government of murder in the ‘Martyr’s Oath’ program of Inquilab Manch.
In the case of the murder of anti-India and Sheikh Hasina Bangladeshi leader Usman Hadi, his brother Sharif Omar Hadi has made serious allegations against the Yunus government.
Omar Hadi said that some forces within the government are behind the murder of Usman Hadi. They want to derail the upcoming national elections.
Omar made these allegations in the ‘Martyrdom Oath’ program of Inquilab Manch organized in Shahbag on Tuesday. Omar Hadi targeted the Yunus government and said, “You people have got Osman Hadi killed. Now you are trying to stop the elections by using this issue.”
Hadi was shot in Dhaka on 12 December, after which he died on 18 December while undergoing treatment in Singapore. General elections are to be held in Bangladesh on 12 February next year. Before this the political turmoil has intensified.
Hadi’s brother said- murderers should be prosecuted
Omar told that Hadi wanted elections to be held by February. Hadi also urged officials not to spoil the election atmosphere.
Omar further said, “The murderers should be prosecuted as soon as possible so that the election environment is not affected. The government has not shown us any concrete progress till now. If Usman Hadi does not get justice, then one day you too will have to flee Bangladesh.
Omar Hadi claims that his brother did not bow before any agency or foreign masters, so he was killed.
Inquilab Manch has given an ultimatum to the Bangladesh government to arrest Hadi’s killers.
30 days timeline to Yunus government
Abdullah Al Jaber, Secretary of Inquilab Manch also gave a speech in this rally. He reiterated the 30-day timeline given in the press statement issued on Monday.
The government has been demanded to identify and arrest the killers within the timeline. Jaber alleged that a deep conspiracy was going on to destroy the sovereignty of Bangladesh.
Jaber has put forward two main demands before the government, firstly, the arrest of all those involved in Hadi’s murder and secondly, the arrest of civil-military intelligence agents associated with the Awami League.
At the end of the rally, attendees took a ‘martyrdom oath’, vowing not to let Osman Hadi’s blood go in vain and to continue fighting on the streets until justice is served.
Jaber said – the entire syndicate is behind the murder, no one will be left
Jaber asked the government, “What did you do to catch the killers of Osman Hadi?” He said that this murder is not the work of one person, but there is a whole syndicate behind it.
Jaber did not directly cast doubt on any one political party, but he said that no party is above suspicion.
He further said that Hadi was a problem not only for the Awami League but also for many other political parties.
He warned that those who defended the killers and publicly supported them should also be brought to justice.
After Hadi’s funeral, thousands of people had gathered at the rally at Shahbagh intersection at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.
December 12- Hadi was shot by bike-riding attackers.
Usman Hadi was shot in the capital Dhaka on December 12, in which he was seriously injured. He was going on a rickshaw when a bike-riding attacker shot him.
Hadi was immediately taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and was later referred to Singapore for treatment. Where he died on 18 December.
According to media reports, a few hours before the attack, Usman Hadi had shared a map of Greater Bangladesh, which included Indian areas (7 Sisters).
Hadi was going to contest independent elections from Dhaka
Hadi was the spokesperson of the Islamic organization ‘Inquilab Manch’ and was an independent candidate from Dhaka in the elections. Inquilab Manch emerged as an organization after the student movement of August 2024. It toppled the Awami League government of then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
This organization remained active in declaring Awami League a terrorist and demanding its complete destruction and safety of the youth. This organization emphasizes on protecting national independence and sovereignty. This organization played an important role in dissolving the Awami League in May 2025 and disqualifying it from the elections.
