Government lawyer Hardeep Kumar told that youth Abhishek had raped a 2 year old girl. A case was registered against him on 29 July 2024 at Civil Lines Batala. After this he was arrested. The trial started in the court on 26 September, now after 15 months of hearing, the judge has given the verdict.

The girl’s parents used to work Government lawyer Hardeep Kumar said that in the complaint lodged with the police, the girl’s mother had told that she works in people’s homes, while her husband works as a labourer. When her husband came home after working, she would hand over the child to her father and go to work. Both of them had this same routine.

According to the girl’s mother, on the evening of July 29, 2024, the young man Abhishek came to her and said that you can hand over the girl to him and go to work. I will take care of your daughter until you return. The girl’s mother told that after trusting the young man, she left her daughter with him and started going to work.
The girl was found raped after returning home According to the girl’s mother, at around 5.30 in the evening she handed over her daughter to Abhishek and went to work. When she came back after an hour, Abhishek was not there. His daughter was crying at home. Found out that Abhishek had done something wrong to her daughter and informed the police. After recording the statement, the police registered a case against Abhishek under the POCSO Act.
