The death of the missing Gujarati filmmaker Mahesh Jirawala since the plane accident in Ahmedabad on 12 June has been confirmed. He was identified through DNA investigation, after which his body has been handed over to his family members.
However, in the beginning the family was not ready to believe that Mahesh Jeerawala died in the accident, but when the police said that their Activa Scooty was recovered from the place of the accident in a burnt condition and confirmed by her number, as well as other concrete evidence including DNA reports, the family broke down completely.

Let me tell you, some time investigation revealed that Mahesh’s last location was just 700 meters away from the place where the plane crashed. His number was closed since the crash. The police was constantly involved in Mahesh’s investigation. At the same time, his DNA samples were also handed over to the team, who were matched with the corpses found from the place of the accident.
Talking to PTI, Mahesh’s wife Hetal had told that he had gone to Law Garden in Ahmedabad on 12 June. He had a meeting there. At 1.14 pm, he had called the wife and told that the meeting is over and they are returning home. After some time, when he did not return, the wife called him, but his number was closed.

When Mahesh was not contacted for several hours and he did not return home, Hetal lodged a complaint with the police about his disappearance. Investigation revealed that Mahesh’s mobile was closed exactly 1.40 am, when the plane crashed. His car has also not been recovered anywhere.
Hetal has also told that he was not usually from the path where the accident took place, but that day his last location was just 700 meters away from the plane crash.
Many vehicles were burnt to ashes at the scene and many people got so badly burnt that it was difficult to identify them. In such a situation, the family suspected that Mahesh may not have been hit by the accident.
