Gujarat Banaskantha Blast Updates Palanpur Police Arrest Firecracker Godown Owner Near Deesa Casualties Rescue – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live


The police have arrested the owner of the warehouse in the case of the death of 21 people after the explosion in the factory in Banaskantha, Gujarat. In connection with the arrest that took place a few hours after the accident, Inspector General of Police Chirag Koradia of the Border Range said that illegal firecrackers were being stored and manufactured in the warehouse. Koradia said that the warehouse owner Deepak Mohanani was arrested by a team of Banaskantha police on Tuesday night from Sabarkantha district of the neighborhood. In the initial information after the blast, the officials had said that the warehouse is named Deepak Traders, whose owner Deepak and his father are Khubchand Mohanani.

When and where the accident happened

Please tell that on Tuesday morning the accident took place near Deesa town in Banaskantha district. In addition to the death of 21 people in the fire after an explosion in a warehouse, six people were also casualties. The injured are being treated in the hospital. The government has announced compensation for the families of the victims.

The scene after the explosion in Banaskantha is quite distracted. The explosion occurred at around 9.45 am on Tuesday morning. After the blast, the warehouse built in an industrial area near Deesa town collapsed completely. From the statement of the local people, the horrific scene after the accident can be gauged. People said that the body parts of the workers present in the warehouse flew into the air and fell 200-300 meters away.

DNA check for identification of two dead

After the accident, District Collector Mihir Patel said, all the deceased were originally from Harda and Dewas districts of Madhya Pradesh. The 21 dead include women and children. Six injured are being treated. The collector said that 19 dead have been identified. DNA testing is being conducted for the identification of two others.

The building collapsed after the blast, most of the victims of Madhya Pradesh

21 people who died in Banaskantha district of Gujarat were workers of Madhya Pradesh and their family members. Most of them died due to falling debris. Superintendent of Police (SP) Akshayraj Makwana said, many people were buried under debris due to fire and some part of the building collapsed due to explosion in the warehouse. According to the SP, firecrackers were for storage and so far no clue has been found that firecrackers were being made there.

Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh assured all possible help

On receiving information about the fire after the explosion in the cracker warehouse, the firefighters of DESA municipality who arrived for relief and rescue work controlled the fire. A team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was also deployed to assist in rescue work. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that his government is in constant touch with the Gujarat government. All necessary efforts will be made to help the workers affected by the incident and their families.
