A few hours after US President Donald Trump announced a 25 % tariff on Indian goods, a response has come to light from the Government of India. The statement issued by the Government of India said that the government gives the most importance to the protecting and promotion of welfare of our farmers, entrepreneurs and MSMEs. The government will take all necessary steps to protect our national interests, as has been done in case of other trade agreements including the Economic and Trade Agreement with Britain.

Trump announces 25% tariff and fine on India

Earlier today, US President Donald Trump announced a 25 percent tariff on India from 1 August.
