A major accident occurred during action against liquor smugglers on Saturday morning near Sipaya Polytechnic of Vishwambharpur police station area of Gopalganj district. The liquor smuggler hit the police bike strongly, killing a home guard jawan posted in the excise department. The deceased has been identified as 30 -year -old Abhishek Sharma, resident of Bengalkhad village in Kuchayakot police station area.

Accident occurred during patrolling
According to the information, on Saturday morning, Home Guard Jawan Abhishek Sharma along with his partner Jitendra Kumar went on a bike patrol. He was informed of liquor smuggling in the area. Meanwhile, a bike rider liquor smuggler hit his car strongly and escaped from the spot near Sipaya Polytechnic.

Abhishek Sharma and Jitendra Kumar were seriously injured in the accident. Both were brought to Sadar Hospital Gopalganj with the help of passers -by. Doctors declared Abhishek dead after first aid. At the same time, Jitendra Kumar is undergoing treatment.
