The G7 Summit, which lasted for three days, has ended in Kannaskis, Alberta province, Canada. Prime Minister Narendra Modi became part of the summit as a guest nation. During this time he met many world leaders.
PM Mark Carney of Canada welcomed Modi. PM Modi also met Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni. Both leaders were seen smiling.
G7 Summit Top Moments
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni at the G7 Summit. During this time both were seen smiling. Earlier in December 2023, both leaders met COP28 Summit in Dubai. Meloni shared the photo of this meeting on social media with the #MeLodi hashtag which became quite viral.
Sharing the post with PM Modi, Meloni wrote- Italy and India are associated with a deep friendship. Modi wrote- Prime Minister Georgia Meloni I completely agree with you. The friendship between India and Italy will continue to be strong, which will benefit our people a lot.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney welcomed PM Modi at the summit. This is Modi’s first meeting with Carney. With this, it has been agreed to restore the High Commissioner between India and Canada. After the terrorist Nijjar murder case, in October last year, both countries expelled 6-6 diplomats from the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Claudia Shinbam Pardo of Mexico during the G7 Summit in Canada, Canada. This was the first meeting between the two leaders. Both sides discussed ways to increase trade, pharmaceuticals, science and technology.

PM Modi also met German Chancellor Frederick Merge at the summit. PM Modi wrote on the ‘X’ post- It was very happy to talk with German Chancellor Frederick Merge during the G7 Summit in Canada. India and Germany are friends. This year we are completing 25 years of our strategic partnership. Chancellor Merge and I also discussed deepening the defense and safety relations. We will continue to work together on issues like combating terrorism and curbing terrorism funding.
PM Modi met Britain Prime Minister Kir Stmper. Both leaders were seen having serious conversations on some subject. The PM wrote on ‘X’- There was excellent conversation with the Prime Minister of Britain. The relations between India and Britain are constantly getting stronger, the effect of which is clearly visible in sectors like trade and commerce. We will continue to work together to further this friendship.
At the summit, PM Modi met Ursula von Der Leyen, president of the European Commission. By posting the photo, Modi wrote on ‘X’- There was a meaningful discussion.
The G7 Summit had a bilateral meeting between Donald Trump and Britain’s PM Kir Stmper. Trump was showing the document of the business deal in front of the press, when some pages of the file fell down. Trump said to the stormer- I apologize, there is some wind blowing here. The stormer said- These are very important paper. After this, he bent down and started lifting the pages.
Donald Trump, who came to participate in the G7 Summit, had put a PIN of the flag with the US and Canada on his coat. Actually Trump wants to make Canada the 51st state of America.
During the G7 meeting, French President Emmanuel Macron said something softly to the PM Meloni of Italy, on which Meloni’s shocking reaction was. His reaction is being discussed a lot on social media.
Britain’s Prime Minister Kir Stmper and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney watched an ice hockey match on TV at Royal Oak Pub in Ottawa. Both also drank beer during this time.

Mexico President Claudia Shanebom arrived in Calgary International Airport for the G7 Summit. During this, he took selfie and shows with fans. Shanebom is the first female President in Mexico’s 200 -year history. In the election held in June 2024, Claudia Shanebom of the ruling Morena Party got the highest 58.3% votes.
