In this, due to private companies in Punjab and less government procurement than Uttar Pradesh, there is less than the target set. The government was to buy 124 lakh metric tonnes from Punjab, 75 lakh metric tonnes from Haryana, 80 lakh metric tonnes from Madhya Pradesh, 30 lakh metric tonnes from Uttar Pradesh, 20 lakh metric tonnes from Rajasthan and 0.01 lakh metric tonnes from Gujarat.
Wheat procurement ends till 15 May in Punjab-Haryana
In this, the purchase of wheat in Punjab and Haryana till May 15 has ended. Whereas in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan it is still going on 30 May. Madhya Pradesh has also been added to this, even after this, there is very little hope that government procurement will be able to fulfill its goal this time too. Because the highest number of 119.32 lakh metric tonnes has been purchased from Punjab so far. 77.75 lakh metric tonnes have been purchased from Madhya Pradesh. 70.81 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured from Haryana. This purchase from Uttar Pradesh is 9.99 lakh metric tonnes. It is expected to be more than one million metric tons.

16.46 lakh metric tonnes in Rajasthan
