Infantino said that Trump is being given this honor to increase peace and unity in the world. He said that Trump should have even received the Nobel Peace Prize, especially for his efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza.

This award is FIFA’s first peace award. FIFA has not yet given any information about its selection process. This announcement also came as a surprise to many FIFA officials.

A day before this, the Institute of Peace in Washington was named after Trump as “Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace”. Here the leaders of Congo and Rwanda signed a peace agreement in the presence of Trump.
