US President Donald Trump has suffered a setback from the court. A federal judge on Wednesday imposed a temporary ban on the decision of the Trump administration, trying to take away the right to their collective interaction with the Foreign Services Employees.

US District Judge Paul Friedman accepted the demand for an initial prohibition of a federal labor union, stating that the Trump administration cannot stop their rights until the ongoing case against him is over. The executive order was signed by President Trump on 27 March, which was challenged in court by the US Foreign Service Association. The Union represents more than 18,000 members of Foreign Service. The Sangh filed a lawsuit to stop the Trump administration on the executive order.

Trump’s order inverted labor-management relationship: Sangh
The Sangh says that the order of President Trump has reversed the stable labor-management relations that have been going on for decades in the Foreign Service. Trump’s order excludes all the members of the State Department and the UA Agency for International Development (USAID) from the law that gives them the right to organize and interact.
National security related agencies are unable to function properly: Government lawyers
Government lawyers say that Trump believes that agencies whose work is related to national security is not able to work properly due to agreements made with the Sangh and it is not protecting public interests. Government lawyers said that the President’s decision should be respected, as they have been chosen by the public. At the same time, the lawyers of the plaintiff have claimed that Trump has issued an executive order to retaliate against the labor unions, not to achieve the national security target.

Administration is making changes in conditions and employment of working
The lawyers of the union say that the right to form a union from the Foreign Services Employees has been taken away from the rights when the administration is constantly changing the conditions and employment of the employees. Last month too, in a separate case, Judge Friedman temporarily stopped the government from snatching the right to collective interaction from federal employees.
