UER-2 will take the connectivity of Delhi-NCR to a new level. This will add major national highways like NH-44, NH-9 and NH-48. In addition, it will connect the industrial areas of Sonipat and Bahadurgarh to Link Road, which will speed up the movement of industry and goods.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described UER-2 (Urban Extension Road-2) as a game-changer for the capital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it on 17 August. This corridor will relieve Delhi from the jam, to the IGI Airport in 40 minutes. Travel from NCR to Chandigarh will be easy and pollution will be reduced. The Chief Minister has thanked PM Modi and said that this project is a big step towards developing Delhi. He visited Rohini Sector-37 with officials and party leaders and gave necessary instructions to take stock of the preparations for the inauguration.
