Kangana Ranaut’s film took a sluggish start with an opening of Rs 2.5 crore. There was some increase in the earnings on the second day on Saturday and the collection was Rs 3.6 crore. Then taking advantage of Sunday holiday, ‘Emergency’ collected Rs 4.25 crore. It recorded a significant decline in the first Monday test yesterday and earned Rs 1.05 crore.

If we compare ‘Emergency’ with Kangana Ranaut’s previous film ‘Tejas’ released in theatres, the situation is better. The film ‘Tejas’ was a flop at the box office. It collected only Rs 1.25 crore on the first day, Rs 1.3 on the second day, Rs 1.2 on the third day and Rs 45 lakh on the fourth and fifth day. From this perspective, ‘Emergency’ is in a much better position. The collection of ‘Emergency’ in five days is more than double the collection of ‘Tejas’ in five days.
