Rybakina has won the 11th title of her career.
Kazakhstan’s tennis player Elena Rybakina has won the WTA Finals title. In the final of this year-ending tournament, sixth seed Rybakina defeated world number-1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-3, 7-6 in consecutive sets.
26 year old Rybakina was successful in winning this title for the first time. He won all five matches in the tournament. With this he got prize money of Rs 46 crore. Rybakina defeated both world number-1 (Sabalenka) and world number-2 (Iga Swiatek) in the tournament. This is the 11th title of his career. They lifted a trophy for the third time this year.
Sabalenka reached the WTA finals for the first time in three years Sabalenka had qualified for the finals by defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in the first semi-final played on Saturday. She qualified for the WTA Finals title for the first time in three years. In the first set of the semi-finals, she easily defeated Anisimova 6–3. However, Anisimova made a brilliant comeback in the second set and won the set 3-6. In the decisive third set, Sabalenka secured victory by taking a 4-3 lead.
After the match, Sabalenka said, ‘Even if I had lost, it would not have mattered because it was a great match. Both the players performed well enough to make it to the finals. I am very happy to win.

WTA Finals: The biggest women’s tennis tournament after the four Grand Slams The WTA Finals is considered the most important tournament in the annual calendar of women’s tennis after the four Grand Slams.
