These rules will be applicable from 1 September 2025. Women athletes will not be able to participate in the World Athletics Championships to be held in Tokyo from 13 September.

9. If SRY test is positive? This may mean that athlete is a transgender or DSD position with XY chromosome. More investigation will be done for confirmation. Only Cais status can be allowed to participate in the female category.
10. If a woman athlete does not get SRY test done? She will not be able to participate in world ranking competitions. However, it will be able to play in non-ranking or other categories.
