Draft of new telecom policy ready, will soon be presented in Parliament, broadband will reach door to door by 2030

The draft of the National Telecom Policy 2025 has been ready recently. The new policy can soon be tabled in Parliament. In this new policy, the emphasis of Next Generation Technology, AI, Internet of Things, 6G etc. has been emphasized. Apart from this, it has been said to create millions of new jobs from broadband connectivity from house to house. In this policy, India has been targeted to make India a global leader in technology and telecom sector by 2030.

Broadband will reach 10 million houses

The draft of the new telecom policy has to deliver a 5G network network in India by 2030. The government has set a target to launch 6G in the country along with spreading 5G service to 90 percent of the people. According to the draft of the telecom policy, broadband service is to be delivered to 10 crore houses in the country. It also takes care of infrastructure development and expansion to deep localization, skill and environment.

Preparations are underway to introduce the draft policy in Parliament soon. The target of including India from 6G, AI, IOT i.e. Internet of Things to Quantum Computing and Next Generation Innovation has also been set in this new telecom policy. It has also been said to increase the local manufacturing i.e. Make in India by 150% in India.

Digital fund fund

According to the report, the draft of this new telecom policy has a transformative vision for India’s digital future. In this, telecommunications have been considered as the basic basis for economic development, social improvement and technology innovation, which reiterates the country’s strategic commitment. The government aims to rollout 1 million public Wi-Fi hotspots. A new Digital Bharat Nidhi Scheme has been proposed for this. This fund will be used to improve network connectivity in the country’s remote areas.
