The victory gave Divya the title of Grandmaster (GM), as well as a prize money of US $ 50,000 (about Rs 42 lakh) in the Candidates tournament. Divya took part in the tournament as an underdog and her goal was to achieve only GM-softness, but she surprised everyone and won the title.
On reaching the Mumbai Air Port, the officials of the Chase Federation of India were automatically raised.
