On Tuesday morning, a victim of Kanwari, going from Deoghar in Jharkhand to Basukinath, fell victim to an accident. Six Kawandis have died in the accident, while around 26 are injured. On receiving the information of the accident, the district administration team reached the spot and started in rescue operations. The local villagers and police team immediately admitted the injured to Deoghar Sadar Hospital and Basukinath Sub -Health Center. The seriously injured Kanwari has been referred to Ranchi. The bus brought Kanwari from Nawada district of Bihar, who was going to Basukinath Dham for darshan after Jalabhishek in Deoghar.

According to a kawandiya in the bus, the bus was running at a high speed. During this time the driver napped and the bus collided with the truck. After this, he climbed on a stone and entered a pile of bricks directly. Most of the kanwadis were sleeping at the time of the accident. As soon as the accident happened, there was a shout. The administration has ordered an inquiry into the accident. The kambadis who lose their lives are being identified and their families are being informed. Most of the Kambiyas are residents of Akbarpur, Hisua and Pakaribravan block areas of Nawada.

My wife would have survived if the villagers had helped

The injured Kanwari Sunil Kumar said that suddenly there was a big stone on the road. This lost control of the driver and the bus collided with a pile of bricks. I somehow left the bus, but my wife Suman Kumari was stuck in the bus for an hour, no one helped us. If there was help on time, my wife would have survived.

Another local woman Reena Devi said that this place is extremely dangerous. There is no speed breaker nor a warning board. If the government had already paid attention, it would have been saved. Vijay Mandal, a shopkeeper who reached the spot, said, the speed of the bus was very fast, due to which the accident happened. We had already told the administration that security system should be increased on this path in Sawan.
