Delhi Residents Forced To Breathe Toxic Air, Aqi Recorded This Much Today – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

Air pollution in the capital Delhi has again become a matter of concern for the people. According to the latest data of the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index has reached very poor levels in many areas.

The air quality index in Delhi’s ITO area was recorded at 275, which falls in the poor category. The air quality level in Akshardham and its surrounding areas has reached 272. The air quality index in the (AIIMS) area stood at 291, which points towards the upper end of the poor category.

The situation was slightly better in Lodhi Road area, where the air quality index was recorded at 184, which is considered in the ‘moderate’ category. To reduce pollution, special water sprinkling vehicles have been deployed here. Similarly, the index in Indira Gandhi International Airport (T-3) area was 188, which is included in the medium category.

Air quality was found to be most worrying in East Delhi’s Anand Vihar area, where the index reached 298. The air quality index in Bawana was recorded at 301, marking the beginning of the very poor category. The level was 299 in Chandni Chowk and 299 in R.K. Reached 298 in Puram. The air quality index in Burari area was measured at 264.

According to CPCB, on Friday the wind blew from north-east direction at a speed of 5 kilometers per hour. At the same time, the estimated maximum mixing depth was 2000 meters. Apart from this, the ventilation index was 7000 meters per square second. On the other hand, at 3 pm the amount of PM10 in the air was recorded at 157 and PM 2.5 at 94.3 micrograms per cubic metre.

According to CPCB, among the monitoring stations, only Wazirpur recorded air in the ‘very poor’ category with an AQI of 312. At the same time, poor air quality was recorded in 25 monitoring centers and moderate air quality was recorded in 11.
