The air in the capital remained in severe category for three consecutive days. After Tuesday, there was some relief on Wednesday also but the situation is still not better. The morning started with mist and fog and a light layer of smog was visible in the sky, due to which visibility was very low in many areas. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System for Delhi, the air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 329, which is in the very poor category. Earlier on Tuesday, 354 AQI was recorded.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) has predicted that the air will remain in very poor category till Friday. Due to this, respiratory patients will have to face problems. Also, people may face problems like eye irritation, cough, itching, headache. Apart from this, air was recorded in severe and very poor category in many areas on Tuesday.
According to CPCB, AQI of Dhaula Kuan area has been recorded at 342, which is in ‘very poor’ category.

According to CPCB, Anand Vihar area has recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 341, which is in the ‘very poor’ category.
