Giving information about this blast, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that today at around 7 pm, a blast took place in a Hyundai i20 car at the Subhash Marg traffic signal near the Red Fort in Delhi. Some pedestrians were injured and some vehicles were damaged in the blast. Initial reports indicate that some people have lost their lives. Within 10 minutes of receiving information about the blast, teams from Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch reached the spot. NSG and NIA teams along with FSL have now started a thorough investigation. Orders have been given to check all the nearby CCTV cameras. I have also spoken to Delhi Police Commissioner and Special Branch in-charge. Delhi Police Commissioner and Special Branch in-charge are present at the spot. We are considering all possibilities and will conduct a thorough investigation keeping all possibilities in mind.
