There was a car explosion this evening near the Red Fort metro station in the country’s capital Delhi. A total of nine people have died in this blast. Seven people are injured, out of which the condition of three is said to be critical. Immediately after this incident, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Delhi Police Commissioner. Teams of NSG, NIA and forensic department reached the spot. The Home Minister is in constant touch with the IB Director regarding the Delhi incident.

PM Modi took update on the blast from the Home Minister
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken stock of the situation after the blast near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station in Delhi. He spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and took an update on the situation. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Delhi Police Commissioner and the Intelligence Bureau Director to take stock of the situation after the explosion near the Red Fort. The Home Minister directed the heads of NIA, NSG and forensic science to send teams to assist in the investigation and collect evidence.
Loud explosion in car near Red Fort
Officials said that on Monday evening, a massive explosion took place in a car parked near the Red Fort metro station, in which several vehicles were burnt to ashes and many people died. The blast occurred on a busy evening when the area was full of people. The people injured in this blast were taken to LNJP Hospital. After this, high alert has been issued in Delhi. Delhi Fire Service said that police have cordoned off the area and 10 fire tenders have reached the spot. Officials said the fire was brought under control by 7.29 pm. “Six cars, two e-rickshaws and an autorickshaw were gutted in the fire,” a fire department official said.
