The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has formed an internal special team to investigate the Delhi car blast case. This team will be led by officers of the rank above Superintendent of Police (SP) level.
It is noteworthy that a day before, the Home Ministry had handed over the investigation of Delhi car blast to NIA. Then, considering it a terrorist attack, an FIR was also registered under the sections of UAPA by the intelligence sources. After this the agency started a detailed investigation of the case.
