After the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, Home Minister Amit Shah has reached LNJP Hospital to meet the injured. During this, he held a meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and other officials. At the same time, PM Modi also said that he has taken information from the Home Minister and other officials. Instructions have been given to provide all possible help to the affected people.

Earlier, Home Minister Shah had given complete information about the matter. He said that around 7 pm today, a blast took place in a Hyundai i20 car at the Subhash Marg traffic signal near the Red Fort in Delhi. Some pedestrians were injured and some vehicles were damaged in the blast. Initial reports indicate that some people have lost their lives.

He further said that within 10 minutes of receiving information about the blast, teams from Delhi Crime Branch and Delhi Special Branch reached the spot. NSG and NIA teams along with FSL have now started a thorough investigation. Orders have been given to check all the nearby CCTV cameras.

The blast occurred on a busy evening when the area was full of people. The people injured in this blast were taken to LNJP Hospital. After this, high alert has been issued in Delhi. A fire department official said six cars, two e-rickshaws and an autorickshaw were gutted in the fire.
