Earlier, 64 years ago, such a session was held in Bhavnagar in 1961.

Congress’s Gujarat unit president Shaktisinh Gohil thanked the party high command on Monday on behalf of the people of Gujarat for deciding to organize important sessions in Gujarat.

What will be the agenda?
The Congress announced on Sunday (February 24) that it will organize a session of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on April 8 and 9, in which the BJP’s ‘anti -people’ policies created by the challenges, its alleged attack on the constitution and Discussions will be made to prepare the further ‘roadmap’.

Addressing the media, Shaktisinh Gohil said, “The party has given Gujarat an opportunity to hold the AICC session on 8-9 April in Ahmedabad city, which has been the biggest center of the freedom struggle, where Mahatma Gandhi’s ashram (Sabarmati The ashram) is located. I thank the working committee and the high command for deciding the session here. “

The Congress leader further said that the party wanted to organize a session at the Mahatma temple in Gandhinagar “but he has been unofficially told that the place will not be provided for this purpose.”

Gujarat will be session for the third time
Rajya Sabha member Gohil said that Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthplace will organize AICC session for the third time in the history of Gujarat Congress. Gohil said that the first session of AICC in Gujarat was held in Haripura near Bardoli in 1938, when Sardar Patel took responsibility for the event. This Bardoli was organized on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Satyagraha. Gohil said that the second AICC session in Gujarat was held in Bhavnagar in 1961, when Neelam Sanjeev Reddy was the national president of the party.
