In the Bengal Legislative Assembly, the brother of Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari and BJP MP Souffu Officer have filed a complaint against West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Delhi Police. He alleges that Mamta Banerjee has spread false and inflammatory information on social media.
Samendu official said that Mamta Banerjee has falsely claimed a woman and her child to be beaten by Delhi Police. He says that Mamata Banerjee wants to spread such things against the police and spread hatred among the communities against the police.

Raising this, Mamata Banerjee shared a video, in which she said that a migrant woman and her child were beaten up by Delhi Police.

However, the Delhi Police has described these allegations of Mamata Banerjee as completely false. Senior police officer Abhishek Dhaniya said that the woman, Sanjanu Parveen had alleged that four policemen came to his house and beaten him by taking him to a deserted place and also snatched Rs 25,000.
Investigation revealed that the woman’s story is false: Police officer
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the official told reporters that we formed several teams for investigation and based on technical information, local intelligence input and CCTV footage, discovered that the woman’s story is false. During interrogation, the woman herself admitted that one of her relatives, who is a political activist from Malda district of West Bengal, had asked her to make this video and put it on social media.

Chief Minister retaliated to call the claim concocted
The Chief Minister retaliated after the Delhi Police termed Banerjee’s claim as fully concocted. Addressing a government program in Birbhum district on Tuesday, he said that he had already known that the woman would be threatened, and the same happened. He said that when the woman and the child come back, then the truth will be revealed who is telling the truth and who is lies.
