After the decision in the Malegaon blast case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has welcomed the decision by surrounding the Indian National Congress. On 31 July, Thursday, all the accused, including Sadhvi Pragya, Colonel Purohit, were acquitted in a blast case in a Maharashtra court. The court has acquitted all these for lack of evidence. After the decision, in a post on the social media site X, CM Yogi said that all the accused in the Malegaon blast case are innocent ‘Satyamev Jayate’.

The CM said that this decision again exposes the anti-India, anti-justice and anti-eternal character of the Congress, which has committed the crime of stigmatizing the image of crores of Sanatan believers, saints and nation by creating false words like ‘saffron terrorism’ ..

He said that the Congress should publicly accepted its unforgivable misdeeds and apologize to the country.

What did the court say in Malegaon verdict?

In the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case by the NIA court, the court said that there is no evidence of storage or combination of explosives in Srikanth Prasad Purohit’s residence. No sketch of the scene was made by the investigating officer while doing the Panchnama. No fingerprints, dump data or anything were collected from the scene. Samples were contaminated, so the reports cannot be decisive and not reliable. The chassis number of the bike allegedly involved in the blast was not clear. The prosecution could not prove that it was under the possession of Sadhvi Pragya just before the explosion.

On the other hand, on the acquittal of all the accused by the NIA court in the Malegaon blast case, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, ‘The conspiracy of Hindu terrorism of the Congress has collapsed. There was no evidence against any accused. Colonel Purohit, who fought against terrorism in Kashmir, was accused. Pragya Thakur was accused of using her motorcycle in the blast. She was tortured so much that she could not walk after that. This was a conspiracy of the Congress for pure vote bank politics. We welcome the court’s decision.
