A woman’s body found from the Medical Hospital in Kishtwar
Mamta’s husband Hussanadas is in the army, he reached home in the evening on Thursday after people went missing. Hearing the news of his wife’s death, he was very hurt and so far, the other family members have not been able to find any information, the body of Mamta Devi has been kept in Jammu Medical College. After Mamta’s life is lost, relatives are reaching her house.

Security agencies engaged in rescue work
Atal Dullune, Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, visited the affected area due to the cloudburst of Kishtwar and said that a large number of ambulances have been deployed. CISF, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police have been engaged in rescue work. Rescue operations have been started. Land will be given to the affected people to build houses and the government will help them in every possible way. The Chief Secretary assured that the administration is carrying out relief and rehabilitation works with full promptness.

‘This was an extraordinary natural disaster’
Union Minister Jitendra Singh said on the cloudburst incident in the Chashoti area of Kishtwar, “It was an extraordinary natural disaster … First of all, the way the relief campaign was conducted by the local people and informed the administration immediately, they deserve praise. Paramilitary forces, army, air force, Jammu and Kashmir Police, Local Administration and BRO are all together … The kind of services and rescue campaigns in their own Are we officially found bodies of 53 people till last night … ”

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has announced a grace from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund after visiting areas affected by cloudburst in Kishtwar. Two lakh rupees have been announced for each deceased, Rs 1 lakh for seriously injured, Rs 50,000 for a minor injured, one lakh rupees for fully damaged structures, Rs 50,000 for seriously damaged structures and Rs 25,000 for partially damaged structures.

Machail Mata Yatra was postponed for the third consecutive day on Saturday
Starting on 25 July and the annual Machail Mata Yatra ending on 5 September remained postponed for the third consecutive day on Saturday. To reach this temple 9,500 feet high starts with an 8.5 km walk and starts from Chashoti, about 90 km from Kishtwar city.

Homes and government buildings, three temples, four severe damaged
Officials said the dead included two Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel and a special police officer (SPO) of local police. The disaster came to Chashoti, the last village of Machail Mata temple on August 14 at around 12:25 pm. A temporary market in the disaster, a site of an anchor (community kitchen) for travel and destroyed a security post. At least 16 residential houses and government buildings, three temples, four pancreas, a 30 meter long bridge and more than a dozen vehicles were also damaged in the sudden floods.

75 people disappearance reported
So far, 46 bodies have been identified and after completing legal formalities, they have been handed over to their families. Meanwhile, the disappearance of 75 people has been reported by their families, although local people and eyewitnesses claim that hundreds of people must have been swept away in the floods and were buried under huge stones, wood and debris.
