Chinese companies have no match in the wearable market, Apple at number three, at the forefront

Chinese companies dominate the market of devices worn on the wrist. This market has increased in the second quarter of the year and Chinese company Huawei holds number one here. Another Chinese company Xiaomi has strengthened its position in second place and is continuously leading from Apple. American tech giant Apple is standing third in this market. Huawei at the forefront

In the second quarter of 2025, Huawei shipped 9.9 million devices and remains the king of this market. This Chinese company has 20 percent market share. Xiaomi at the second position is not far behind. Xiaomi shipped 95 million units in the second quarter and is presenting a tough fight for Huawei with 19.3 percent market share. Apple has a 15 percent stake in this market and has sold 7.4 million devices.

Xiaomi saw fast growth

Xiaomi was already in second place, but has seen fast growth. With a growth of 61 percent on an annual basis, Xiaomi has increased its distance from Apple. Apple has also benefited from 28 percent growth on an annual basis. If we talk about the entire market, then it has increased by 12.3 percent on an annual basis.

Samsung suffered a big loss

Samsung has suffered a loss on an annual basis in the market of devices worn on the wrist like smartwatch or fitness band. Among the top five companies, Samsung is the only company that had to face negative growth. In the second quarter of this year, Samsung’s shipment has reduced by 2.1 percent compared to last year.
