Chinese brands including Samsung flew into Apple’s storm, re -proved the reign

Apple has once again surpassed Chinese brands including Samsung in global shipments. In the first quarter of the year, people bought a lot of iPhone. According to the recent counterpoint research report, this year the iPhone has seen more demand in India and Japan. Apple has recently introduced the iPhone 16E in the global market including India. The new budget friendly iPhone has also been handed over by users.

Apple achieved the top position

According to a counterpant report, Apple’s market share was 19 percent in the first quarter of the year. Although the iPhone cell has fallen in the US market as well as China and Europe, the company has achieved the top position in global shipments. After Apple, Samsung’s global market share is 18 percent.

According to the IDC report, the global shipment of the smartphone increased by 1.5 percent in the first quarter of the year. Apple iPhone shipments have also been declared a tariff by US President Donald Trump. Trump’s tariff announcements had the effect that Apple recently airlifted a cargo flight filled with about 600 tonnes i.e. 1.5 million iPhone from India to avoid the tariff.

Chinese brands left behind

However, Donald Trump later excluded the recipes of smartphones, tablets and electronics devices. Apart from Apple, other American smartphone brands are also increasing their device shipments. On the other hand, Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, Vivo and Apple’s shipments have seen a major decline this year. After Apple and Samsung in the first quarter of the year, Xiaomi’s global market share was 14%. At the same time, Vivo and Oppo have been at number four and fifth respectively with 8% market share.

Apart from these 5 smartphone brands, the total market share of other brands has been 32%. At the same time, Apple’s market share was 20% and 19% respectively in the last two quarter of last year. In both these quarters, Samsung’s market share was 21% and 20% respectively. However, despite the launch of Samsung Galaxy S25 series, Samsung’s market share is decreasing since the last two quarters.
