Union Minister Prahlad Joshi gave information
Union Minister Prahlad Joshi has informed about sending the notice to Apple. He said that the National Consumer Helpline had received many complaints on performance related issues in iPhone after iOS 18+ software update. After investigating these complaints, a notice has been sent to Apple through the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) seeking its response in the matter.
Apple was warned last year also
This is not the first case of giving notice to Apple. Last year also the central government had warned Apple on the complaints of users. Then the users drew attention towards two flaws of the iPhone and said that due to these, there is a risk of data theft, the device falling into the hands of hackers and unauthorized access. Now once again, taking action on the complaint of the users, a notice has been sent to the company.
Users are not happy with Apple’s update
LocalCircle had conducted a survey in December. In this, 6 out of 10 iPhone users have talked about call drops and network related problems. Due to these reasons the iPhone’s battery is also discharging quickly. Most of the users have said that this is happening to them after the iOS 18 update. They also said that even after upgrading iOS 18 to 18.1 and 18.2, the problems have not gone away. 45,000 people were included in this survey. From this it can be estimated that a large number of iPhone users are facing problems.
