Central government employees, if you want to buy a computer, they will get advance. The special thing is that the interest rate fixed for this advance amount has not been cut. During the financial year 2024-25, the office memorandum was issued to sanction an advance amount on 9.1 percent interest rate (per year) for government employees to buy computers. According to the office memorandum released on 24 March, now the central government personnel will be sanctioned advance amount at 9.1 percent interest rate to buy computers from April 1, 2025 to 31 March 2026.

Explain that in the office memorandum issued by the Central Government in FY 2022-23, it was said that between April 2022 to March 31, 2023, government employees will get advance at 9.8 percent interest rate for computer purchase. It was then said that government employees can also take advance for iPad. The iPad also comes in the definition of personal computer. The Finance Ministry had said that officials could buy iPads for their personal use. The ipad is also included in the definition of personal computer.

After this, the office memorandum was released to sanction an advance amount on 9.1 percent interest rate (per year) to buy computers in FY 2023-24. In the following year, in 2024-25, the interest rate of sanctioning advance amount for computer procurement to government employees was fixed at 9.1 percent. From April 1, 2025 to 31 March 2026, the central government did not make any changes in its interest rates. The office memorandum has been issued by the Department of Economic Affairs of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to accept an advance amount on 9.1 percent interest rate (per year) for purchasing computers on Monday.
