The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team raided the residence of AAP leader Durgesh Pathak on Thursday morning. CBI sources say that this search belongs to the alleged violation of the FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) registered by the agency.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi minister Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed on Thursday that the same happened during the last Gujarat elections, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) arrested AAP leaders. AAP national secretary Sandeep Pathak said that the CBI raided Durgesh Pathak’s residence when he was appointed co-integrated for the upcoming assembly elections in Gujarat. He said that the raid indicates that the BJP sees AAP as a growing threat in the state. Pathak posted on X, ‘A few days after the nomination of the Gujarat election 2027, the CBI raid at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party leader Durgesh Pathak gives a strong message that the BJP clearly sees AAP as a growing threat in Gujarat and is nervous with its growing effect.
