BSNL missed on hitting the spot, millions of customers slipped like sand by hand

Private companies increased the prices of their recharge plans in July 2024. Its direct and biggest advantage was to the government telecom company BSNL. On seeing this, BSNL had added about 50 lakh users with them in just two to three months. But now it seems that the government company missed out on the spot.

Millions of mobile users had turned to BSNL to get rid of expensive recharge plans of private companies. But BSNL failed completely to keep it continuously. BSNL failed to capitalize on good opportunities and in the month of December, the government company lost millions of customers.

TRAI report made a big disclosure

TRAI’s latest subscriber report has revealed that the company has suffered a major loss of customers in the month of December. According to TRAI reports, BSNL lost about 0.34 million subscribers for the first time after the plans of private companies became expensive by 31 December 2024. Along with BSNL, VI also suffered a major loss of customers this month. VI lost a total of 17.2 lakh customers in December 2024.

According to TRAI report, the month of December was very beneficial for Reliance Jio and Airtel. This month Jio added 3.9 million wireless users with him. At the same time, the country’s second largest telecom company Airtel added 1 million users. According to the latest report, now the total number of Jio users in the country has reached 465.1 million. While the total number of users of Airtel has reached 385.3 million.
