BSF jawan PK Sahu, who accidentally enter the Pakistani border on the international border in Ferozepur, Punjab, has been released on Wednesday. They have returned safely. The BSF tried tirelessly for Sahu’s safe release. For the release of BSF jawan which took place in 504 hours from Pakistan’s captivity, more than six flag meetings were held, while on the international border, the whistle was played 84 times. Apart from the CO level meeting, top officials of BSF and Rangers also interacted on the issue.

Please tell that the BSF jawan accidentally went towards Pakistan on 23 April. Constant efforts were continued by the BSF for the safe release of the jawan. The BSF was sent to Pakistani Rangers by playing a whistle three to four times daily on the international border. There was also a flag meeting several times. Sources say that all efforts were made for the release of the jawan. It was decided that it would not be possible for Pakistani Rangers to keep the BSF jawan in his possession for a long time.
According to sources, more than six flag meetings have also been held between BSF and Pakistani Rangers in this case. It was told in it that as soon as the top leadership of the Rangers will get the green signal, the jawan will be released. The BSF left no stone unturned for the release of its jawan. Efforts are being made to release the jawan on behalf of BSF daily on the border. For example, there was an attempt to call Pakistani Rangers by whistling on the border. The process of whistling several times in a single day was repeated.

Not only this, in addition to whistling for the flag meeting, the flag is also shown. The aim of BSF is that in any way Pakistani Rangers, come forward for talks. Once the whistle voice did not get any response from Pakistan, after some time the soldiers used to reach there again. Sources reveal that from last week, Pakistani Rangers started running away from the flag meeting. There was no concrete response from the Rangers. It seemed that Pakistani Rangers were not deliberately giving up the flag meeting. The BSF then adopted another method of dialogue. To ensure the release of BSF jawan, the issue of taking help of diplomatic channel has also come to light. The issue was raised in the DGMO meeting.
The incident occurred on 23 April when BSF jawan PK Sahu was posted on the 182nd Battalion, Gate No. 208/1 of the border. They were monitoring Indian farmers during harvesting. BSF also protects farmers. Therefore, when the young man tried to stand in the shade of the tree during the fast summer season, Pakistani Rangers took him into custody. His service rifle was also confiscated. It is said that he was posted in this area some time ago.
Former BSF IG BN Sharma says, such cases are settled at the commandant level. Many times the soldiers come back in a few hours. Provided, there is no intention of any crime. The jawan is questioned in custody. If there is no talk at the CO level, then there is a conversation at the DIG level. After this, it is talked to at the IG level. Diplomatic efforts are made when all types of ways are closed.
