According to the Meteorological Department, minimum mercury was recorded at 3.7 in Ridge, 2.9 in Aya Nagar, 4.6 in Lodhi Road and 3.0 in Palam. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of light fog was seen on Sunday morning. During this period, there was light fog in Palam area between 4 am to 4:30 am, due to which the minimum visibility reduced to 200 meters. Due to low visibility, drivers going out early in the morning had to be cautious. At the same time, light fog was recorded in Safdarjung area in the morning. The minimum visibility here was 600 meters at around 6:30 am.

Orange alert issued on January 13
The weather will remain dry in the capital and surrounding areas for the next few days. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky is likely to remain mostly clear between January 12 and January 17, although light to moderate fog in the morning can increase people’s problems. Cold wave conditions may also persist in many areas. A slight increase in temperature can be seen on January 13. The maximum temperature will be around 19 to 21 degrees and the minimum temperature will be around 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. Even on this day, the effect of cold wave will remain at some places and fog will be seen in the morning. Yellow alert issued on 14th January also
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather pattern will remain almost the same on January 14 also. Day temperature can be between 19 to 21 degrees and night temperature can be between 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. However, the impact of cold wave is likely to be limited to a few places. There will be light to moderate fog in the morning. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of fog and cold. There are signs of a gradual increase in temperature from January 15. The maximum temperature can be 20 to 22 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. The sky will be partly cloudy on this day, but foggy conditions will persist in the morning. The weather is likely to remain almost the same on January 16 and 17. These days the maximum temperature can reach 21 to 23 degrees and the minimum temperature can reach 6 to 9 degrees Celsius. The sky will be partly cloudy and light to moderate fog will be seen in the morning.
