BJP spokesperson Aarti became Sathe Judge, Sharad Pawar faction raised questions, made this big demand

The politics of Maharashtra has become hot on the appointment of Aarti Sathe as a judge of Bombay High Court. It is being said about Sathe that she was working as the official spokesperson of Maharashtra BJP, after which the controversy has deepened. The opposition has expressed displeasure over this and has demanded the removal of them to maintain fairness. Rohit Pawar, leader of Sharad Pawar faction, said that the appointment of a person who favor the ruling party as a judge is the biggest trauma for democracy.

NCP leader Rohit Pawar said, “Such appointments will have far -reaching consequences on the fairness of the Indian judicial system.” He asked, “Is it not like converting the judiciary into a political arena by only keeping the ability to become a judge and appointing politically concerned as a judge directly to the judge?”

• In its meeting held on July 28, 2025, the Supreme Court approved the proposal to appoint Ajit Bhagwantrao Kadehankar, Aarti Arun Sathe and Sushil Manohar Ghodeshwar as judges of Bombay High Court.

‘Is this not an attempt to destroy the Constitution?’

Pawar further said, “The principle of separation of powers lies in the constitution to ensure that no one has uncontrolled power, no centralization of power and controls and balance. Does the appointment of a political spokesperson as a judge not weaken the principle of separation of powers and not an attempt to destroy the Constitution? ”

‘The process of justice will not be affected by political bias?’

The leader of the Sharad faction further questioned, “When a person appointed as a judge in a High Court has a political background and he has held a position in the ruling party, who can guarantee that the process of giving justice will not be affected by political bias?” Does not question the entire process of providing justice to any political person? “

Rohit Pawar further said that there is no objection to the merit of the appointed person, but the appointment of such a person hurts the spirit of the common citizens that ‘justice is done without any partiality’. “He urged the government to reconsider the appointment of Aarti Sathe as a judge of the Bombay High Court and guide the Chief Justice.
