In one of the most dramatic and strange moments, Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery to Mitchell Owen turned into one of the strangest dismissals during the second T20I between India and Australia on Friday (October 31).
The drama unfolded on the fourth delivery of the 18th over of Australia’s successful chase, as Jasprit Bumrah bowled a clever slower off-cutter to Mitchell Owen, who tried to create space and drive but only managed a faint edge through to the Indian wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.

Both Bumrah and Samson instantly appealed with full confidence, but the umpire initially turned them down by nodding his head. However, just as Bumrah signaled for a review, the umpire Wayne Knights suddenly changed his mind and raised his finger.

Owen, who was still unsure, opted for a review, but the UltraEdge confirmed the spike, proving India’s ace pacer right once again.
As Owen walked back for 14 off 10 balls, Bumrah celebrated with his trademark calmness, but the bizarre U-turn from the umpire went viral online.
