Large irregularities have been revealed in the eighth phase of the ongoing physical efficiency test (Physical Test) under the Bihar Police constable recruitment process. Nine candidates have been arrested during the examination, who did not match the biometric attendance verification. Even before this, some candidates were arrested.

Investigation revealed that these candidates had placed the ‘scholar’ (another person) instead of themselves in the written examination. For this, a deal from one to five lakh rupees was done. Police investigation revealed that for passing the written examination, the candidates had given an amount of 50 thousand to 1 lakh rupees in advance. The matter of giving the remaining amount after the examination was decided. Similarly, a setting of 1 to 3 lakh rupees was done to pass the race and other physical efficiency tests.

This fraud was revealed during biometric verification, after which the police took immediate action and arrested 9 candidates.

The presence of candidates decreased in physical test
This week, a total of 8,837 candidates were called for the physical test, but only 7,173 candidates appeared in the examination. This large number of absence also remains a matter of doubt and the police is now investigating in this direction.

Examination for recruitment to 21,391 posts
Police constable recruitment examination was conducted by Central Selection Board (CSBC). The examination was conducted in August last year to fill a total of 21,391 vacant posts, in which 17.87 lakh candidates applied. Of these, about 12 lakh candidates appeared in the examination and 1,07,079 candidates were declared successful. The process of checking physical tests and documents for the candidates who pass the written examination will continue till March 10 this year.
