A student of Shivhar’s engineering college committed suicide on Saturday night. The student has been identified as Akanksha Kumari, daughter of Tarakeshwar P. Shahi of Kanti police station area of Muzaffarpur district. The student was a student of Electrician Final Year of 8th Samester. The incident is from Chhatauna Vishunpur in Piprahi police station area.
In connection with the incident, the police say that on the third floor of the said student girls hostel, in room number 317, she was hanged from a dupatta in a roof fan. The classmates made a sound when the room was closed for hours continuously, but did not open the gate. On peeping through the window, the warden was informed after seeing the corpse hanging. The same college administration broke the gate and removed the body.
The students reported the incident to the local police. Police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Then many senior officials including DM Vivek Ranjan Maitreya, SP Shailesh Kumar Sinha, DSP Sushil Kumar, SDO Avinash Kunal reached the spot. The students of the same college are continuously raising anti -administration slogans by creating uproar. Seeing Babal, the college campus along with the police of many Thano turned into a police camp. Regarding the cause of the incident, the police say the reason has not yet been ascertained. Family members have been informed. Only after the arrival of the angry student’s family, they are demanding that the body be taken. The uproar continues till 12 pm. Officers including DM SP are camping, while college students are scared at midnight at midnight.
