After that, on the basis of CCTV footage, Saran police and the formed SIT team reached Bishanpur area of ​​Muffasil police station area to conduct a raid. From where the hunter caught Rai, but while recovering the weapon he started firing indiscriminately. The police also opened fire in retaliation. However, an ASI has been injured in this firing. He was immediately admitted to Sadar Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
In this regard, Saran’s Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Kumar Ashish said that a person was shot dead on Sunday. On the basis of CCTV, Nand Kishore Rai alias Shikari Rai was detected and we caught him. After this the weapons were recovered. During this time he opened fire on the police. After this the police also retaliated. In this, a bullet hit Shikari Rai’s left leg. 2 pistols and 8 live cartridges have also been recovered from the spot. While he fired two bullets at the police.
Here, during police interrogation, he confessed that he was involved in the murder that took place on Sunday. Shikari Rai, the victim of police firing, has 7 cases registered against him for murder, robbery and extortion. Nand Kishore Rai alias Shikari Rai is originally a resident of Akhtarpur village under Gadkha police station area of ​​Saran district. Shikari Rai is also associated with land business. Shikari Rai was on the police radar for a long time. Because many serious cases like murder, robbery and extortion are registered against him. Shikari Rai has been part of a criminal gang actively operating in the area for many years. His role in several major criminal cases was already under investigation. After being injured in the encounter, the police is now investigating information related to his network, associates and recent criminal activities.
