Bihar government has now brought a separate department to provide employment to the youth. Besides, the government has also been active in the development of higher education and civil aviation in Bihar. Separate departments are being formed for these areas also. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave this information after the conclusion of the last day of the special session of Bihar Assembly.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that a target has been set to provide jobs and employment to 1 crore youth in the next 5 years (2025-30). For this, it is necessary to provide skill development training to more and more youth in the state and it is also necessary to provide them quality higher and technical education. Besides, intensive monitoring will also be required to achieve the target.
For this purpose, instructions have been given to form three new departments in the state, Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, Higher Education Department and Civil Aviation Department. The creation of these departments is expected to be of great help in providing jobs and employment to the youth in the state. There is a plan to provide entrepreneurship opportunities to a large number of youth and provide employment through various schemes in the next 5 years through the Department of Youth, Employment and Skill Development.

The objective of formation of Higher Education Department is to improve the quality of higher education, promote research and innovation, develop technical and vocational education and provide employment-oriented and quality education to all sections of the youth. The Chief Minister said that many new airports are being constructed in the state and in future, construction of many big and small airports is also proposed under the UDAN scheme. Creation of a separate Civil Aviation Department will accelerate these projects, improve the industrial environment, create new employment opportunities and promote the export of products manufactured in the state.
Apart from this, the government has also decided to create Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation, so that the target of providing government jobs and employment can be easily achieved. Mega skill centers will be established in every district under the Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, so that the youth can get training in skill development related to MSME and they can get more employment opportunities. With the formation of Bihar Marketing Promotion Corporation, production, quality and distribution system will be strengthened in sectors like agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, food processing, handicrafts, rural industries, small and cottage industries, which will provide employment to a large number of youth.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously working for the happy future of the youth. The government is committed to providing government jobs and employment to more and more youth. The government is moving forward with this resolve that the youth of Bihar should become efficient and self-reliant, they should get new employment opportunities and their future should be secure.
